标题: Why UCLA? Why Ross? Why Yale?
选择PE的话, 怎么写Why UCLA;Why Ross;Why Yale? 想请各位熟悉这三所学校的人讲讲.

就UCLA而言，那边VC比较多，但PE不是很多，UCLA有个price center,但感觉与PE与太多的关系。
YALE有个INTEGRATED CURRICULUM,但是和PE扯不上边。
ROSS感觉不突出，四平八稳。
不知道UCLA等这三所学校，如果写why this schoo on PE,该怎么写？

All 3 are good schools, but neither is known for world class PE. If you are really interested in PE, why don't you apply to a traditional PE/finance school?

Why PE will get you ding'ed from all 3 especially if you are not coming from PE.

UCLA - I don't know much... media seems strong.
Yale - pretty much have to write a social / community / non profit kind of theme.
Ross is quite strong in consulting and IBD (but not PE).

You are right. I totally forgot about Anderson's finance program. TCW and Pimco probably recruit some Anderson students...

你只要稍微做一下搜索就能在论坛得到大量关于这些学校的信息。一个打算读MBA的人应该具备起码的数据收集，分析和研究能力。

看各校的employment report
Anderson PE有2.6%, Yale SOM 的PE+VC有3%, Ross没列PE

再看主修跟研究中心
Anderson有VC/PE主修,课程多半是investment 与entrepreneurship相关
有个The Lawrence and Lori Fink Center for Finance and Investments
但内容working papers里较少提及PE

Ross 主修里头PE包在VC里面
但主要资源都focus在VC
有Center for Venture Capital and Private Equity Finance,里头有专门的PE研究领域,看LZ要研究哪块

Yale SOM 比较是自由选修,而专讲PE的就有三四门课
的研究中心主要是International Finance, 在研究一般的投资行为

剩下的就是location,不过PE征才不太受地点限制,反而都是靠少数菁英团体的network或是core schools找人

不過還是要看LZ為何要走PE,及過去背景如何串聯
