个人感觉，although省略的情况是：若主从句主语相同，且从句谓语含有动词be, 可将从句主语和动词 be 省略。 但这个例子，明显不是这个情况。所以要跟完整的句子吧~ 而且没有主语，感觉语义不是很清楚。 欢迎讨论作者: uniquenellie 时间: 2010-12-15 15:56

although后面跟省略，在本题中应为although never sighted最简洁， 或在牵强一些，也应该是although having never been，although never having been 错。 另，although 从句省略一般感觉although领的内容不是句子主要意思，而且多作为插入语或句首。象本题是句子主要意思，所以尽量不要省略。

我看OG解释应该意思是Although后面应该要加完整的主谓结构, 不能省略. 还没有看完OG, 所以不知道后面有没有题例外.

although省略的情况：although放于句首，主语与主句一致，后面是系动词be+形容词，则主语和系动词可以省略。如：although young, he plays basketball well.
