OG21的878题的解析里写了
the phrase "rather than ignoring" is correct and accepted in some usages, where rather than functions prepositionally, as here.
意思是此时rather than是介词...所以后面用ing
另外这道题的另一个选项的解析说
rather than does not function as a preposition here. Its function is to coordinate two verbs, in parallel form, that indicate actions compared in the sentence.
意思是OG认为rather than do和rather than doing都是对的，做的时候不能把rather than do当作hard rule来排除
