答案是E。但是我有个疑问，为什么but后面那个从句的主语the health care company可以省略呢？不是两个句子吗。the health care company become..., but then proved...这样的句型正确吗

这不是从句，一个主语两个动作罢了。把but 理解成and ，then可以省略
