请问B除了exhibits之外，还有别的错误么？，总感觉B 的结构要比D好多了。。。。B的话，exhibits还和includes平行呢。。。

Wrong answer.  Exhibits --> exhibit.  Includes --> to include

2楼的哥们。我觉得应该选D。that 后面跟复数，指代animals，所以可排除AB选项，剩下3个选项C,里being均为降格

D is the correct answer.  My first message was to answer LZ's question about what's wrong with choice B.

个人认为选D
B选项includes和exhibits不能并列，因为从句意看，include这个动作应该是紧承expand，表示结果，也就是list扩大到包括lower vertebrates

主要是看that从句时修饰那个词的 其实这个从句时修饰animals 所以用单数了 然后后面的那个preference for 算是一个比较固定的搭配了
