这道题我首先选的是B，因为觉得同位语是单数，排除CDE，B用to表示动作目的。

看了最后的标准答案后，有几个疑问，请明白的朋友帮忙解答：1、gear这个词后面应该接哪个介词，to还是toward？2、如果是toward，那么D又为什么错误？

其实to和toward之间有语义的重复点，在这里gear后面用to和toward都可以。
D里面的错误是toward后面的内容the enhancement 与preparing 不平行。

不选D看懂了。。。可是。。。B哪里不对？感觉应该是单数啊。。。比较小白。。。

我也是想里面的平行不够完美，但是觉得都是介词短语，恩，有更好的就要选择更好的吧
