应该是句子的强调重心改了吧
原句的主语应该是the gypsy moth，到了C里面变成了a French scientist
好像是这样的，也不肯定啊

其实我还再考虑另一个问题，如果C当中被逗号隔开的那段放到句尾去是不是更好一点，望NN指点，先谢过了

对于这道题，
首先可以排除B项，这个相信不会有问题。
对于A，最后那个doing在句尾，作为伴随结果状语讲不通，但是作为伴随动作的，the gypsy moth不能自己发出动作crossing gypsy moths with adult silkworms，如果是的话，则应该改成crossing with adult silkworms.
对于C,句子结构紊乱，读一遍都不知所云，而且in attempting the development搭配错。
D第一遍没发现什么问题，搁置。
E项错误明显，名词a French scientist悬挂。

刚看见你们说C，很明显的错误，to do是表目的，但是这里的这个动作并不是目的。

Imported into Massachusetts form Europe in 1869 是来修饰蛾子的！！！！！后面怎么可能直接就用 a French scientist来做主语了！！！

D 不会改变句意么？
原句并没有说 gypsy moth 是被French scientist 引进，他只是使用而已。

同问D好像可以理解为这个蛾子是由科学家imported的
