答案是E
根据08版prep的对(B)的解释是，用了限定性定语从句修饰news，意思就是“信使所遣送的枪弹”，错误，应该用非限定性修饰；
我想问的是，b选项首先这个用了was，正好和news对应了，所以他修饰news没有问题，逻辑也很通顺啊，这些枪声的消息被信使们传递，为什么解释说他修饰了shots呢，要是修饰shots，应该像C选项那样，用were啊！难道是限定性定语从句只能修饰shots而不能修饰news吗？

我也有这个疑问

首先我觉得语法笔记里面的说法就有些矛盾：用了限定性定语从句修饰news，意思就是“信使所遣送的枪弹”，如果是修饰News 就应该是”被信使遣送的子弹的消息“

其次，我觉得这句之所以错，是因为虽然有例子可以证明 that能跳跃指代NEWs(不像楼上说的) 但还是有歧义。并且in order to不好

我发现都没有人关心这个点诶……“ by swift messenger”为什么出现在four days之后呢，这样后面的11days也共享么？我一直以为考的是平行才选的C……

建议你把正确答案多读几遍，读到顺为止，培养一下语感~

by swift messenger这种信息,省略掉更简介，而且完全不会产生歧义的，当然可以省略掉。否则，岂不是连took什么的全都要补上？
