我知道选D，originating from和perpetuated by并列，但你们怎么就知道originate用主动，为什么不是说这种差异被产生呢？

如果认为是被动的，应该有动作的实施者，不管这个实施者有没被省略。这句话找不出动作实施者。

为什么选B不可以呢？以that引导的限定性定语从句修饰language variations 为什么不可以呢？

B和C的错误是一样的；现在分词表主动，过去分词表被动。其实这道题单从分词意思上区分很模糊，所有后面有了介词短语做提示：originating from diverse ethnic，perpetuated by geographic isolation。
