OG解释里有句很牛B的话： the clearest most efficient way to explain this is to refere to the causes with the relative pronoun that,

我不懂！！！that怎么指代causes？ causes是什么？句中里哪有causes？难道that指代那3个东西？

很多题目里他说 which指代不明，现在又这样用that。这不是只许州官放火不许百姓点灯吗？！？！！？！？

这里的原因应该指从"technological stagnation...“开始，正确选项中that是对原因的几个items"technological stagnation技术停滞不前,marketing missteps,managerial blunders经理谬误"的一种修饰，因此也是as a result of 的一部分，所以选项里说”refere to the causes with the relative pronoun that,

“，还是有点模棱两可是吧
换条思路，attempt 后面加to do形式，选A或D，再看代词it 本身指代不对而且这里用so that也很突兀--”因为....以致于...“反正放着就是觉得突兀

首先多谢你提醒我从另一个角度想。

但，我这次想追求的是GMAT中的 that的使用方法。你也见过OG解释中说which指代不明的请情况。

我不懂，他这个that就不是指代不明了吗？

that就近修饰，因为是限制性定于从句，于是只能修饰managerial blunders

which指代不明是因为which是非限制的，有的时候可以跳跃

Here is my explanation:
On a Serious node, I did not understand the Question at all, But its good to investigate such Question.

First of all I eliminated A
Reason : 'IT' : there is no singular item here.

Second I eliminated:
Attempt to : Correct idiom.
So B,C and E are out.

I left with D.

which指代不明是因为which是非限制的，有的时候可以跳跃

这里的that不是普通的代词，而是一个定语从句的关系代词

首先，我很质疑楼主是不是把clause看成了cause，再者，要理解句意，that后面跟的句子是修饰前面的trouble的，用that的话逻辑很连贯大家能明确对应哪个名词，但是用which大家的第一反应应该是紧跟着前面的”blunders”，你觉得是么？

firstly, correct 是及物动词，这里that 是它的宾语。这里that指的是前面并列的三个东西，这没问题。
并且，that如果单独出现在从句中，那他必须有自己的成分。如果that没有以in that 或 so that形式出现，那么correct后面必须没有宾语。
that指代causes，明显前面的三个并列是troubles 的result of

请问这里that为什么不是就近修饰managerial blunders而变成修饰三个并列causes了？恼火啊。
