What is the difference between " two times as...as" and "twice as...as"?

第二题a中的than后面是不是省略了，省略了什么？

第一题b中的as many后面好像少了as？

AB比较不对称，应该是数量的比较amount

D中NUMBER数字不能LESS

E中IT指代不明

D的错误还在于one-quarter 与 the amount之间缺 of，因为没有of的话，两个名词在一起应该是同位语关系，一个是另一个的解释说明，显然这里不对，而是从属关系。

同意你对第二题的解释，但是对第一道题，AMOUNT只能指代不可数名词，DRIVEIN这里是可数名词，不可以用AMOUNT来指代DRIVEIN的数量。

偶的意见是 C,A

第一题原来我的选择是B,关键认为AMOUNT不能作为一个可数名词

[uncountable and countable]

a quantity of something such as time, money, or a substance
amount of
They spend equal amounts of time in California and New York.
a considerable/large/enormous etc amount a considerable amount of money a small/tiny etc amount a tiny amount of dirtPlease pay the full amount (=of money) by the end of the month.

一般说来AMOUNT作名词都是表示钱等数目, 造成误解. 其可以用作一个数目.

而第一题Bfewer than one-quarter as many后面应该接AS短语补足.

第2题的省略偶同意DASHASHA的意见.
