我不知道我这样理解对不对，大家都讨论讨论哈 第一句话，明显有逗号隔开，就是一个主句加上一个原因状语从句，原因状语从句是解释主句的，所以"They did not go, because they were lazey." 的中文意思就是他们不去，是因为他们懒，那么反过来说，就是懒是他们不去的原因，如果不懒，他们就会去 第二句话，没有逗号，"They did not go because they were lazy." 可以理解说他们不去，是因为他们懒，但是不能说如果不懒他们就会去，究其这原因为什么不可以，我也说不好，可能是英语表达的一种习惯或其他 我好像也没有帮你解答出你的疑问，不好意思，帮你顶顶，期待NN的回复作者: aeoluseros 时间: 2010-10-16 15:53
嗯，小妞说得对的，本质上是因为在第二句里面because they were lazy更可能仅修饰go，虽然也可以修饰They did not go整个分句，所以有歧义的存在。而第一句里面的because they were lazy仅修饰They did not go整个分句。作者: fengyeming 时间: 2010-10-16 19:45

第二句的意思应该是：他们（可能）去了，但不是因为他们懒（才去的）。 可能是由于别的原因去的，比如他们累了。
