我不知道我这样理解对不对,大家都讨论讨论哈 第一句话,明显有逗号隔开,就是一个主句加上一个原因状语从句,原因状语从句是解释主句的,所以"They did not go, because they were lazey." 的中文意思就是他们不去,是因为他们懒,那么反过来说,就是懒是他们不去的原因,如果不懒,他们就会去 第二句话,没有逗号,"They did not go because they were lazy." 可以理解说他们不去,是因为他们懒,但是不能说如果不懒他们就会去,究其这原因为什么不可以,我也说不好,可能是英语表达的一种习惯或其他 我好像也没有帮你解答出你的疑问,不好意思,帮你顶顶,期待NN的回复作者: aeoluseros 时间: 2010-10-16 15:53
嗯,小妞说得对的,本质上是因为在第二句里面because they were lazy更可能仅修饰go,虽然也可以修饰They did not go整个分句,所以有歧义的存在。而第一句里面的because they were lazy仅修饰They did not go整个分句。作者: fengyeming 时间: 2010-10-16 19:45

第二句的意思应该是:他们(可能)去了,但不是因为他们懒(才去的)。 可能是由于别的原因去的,比如他们累了。
