标题: [求助]Manchester vs. UCL

MSc Finance and Investment in University of Nottingham (2.1)

MSc Finance and Economics in University of Manchester (2.1)

MSc Finance in University of Manchester (2.1)

MSc Economics in University College London (1st)

Those are the conditional offers that I have got at the moment (conditions), could anyone help me out to pick the best?

I personally think UCL's offer is the best but since Manchester will merge with UMIST later this year, the overall reputation for Manchester will definitely move up into top ten of even around top five in the league table. So the MSc Finance is also pretty appealing as well. Plus I have been reading my BA in Manchester,  so I am pretty familiar with anything here. This makes me a bit confusing about which one is better...what do you guys think?

By the way, has anyone got experiences in applying for graduate sholarship? What should I include in the personal statement to make it a good PS?

Many thanks,

UCL economics 不错.

听人说manchester本科的大多同学成绩都不错,高分的能达到将80分,还有人申请上cambridge了?呵呵

well....it depends what modules you do....if for some quantitative modules and you are lucky enough to get some tips from the lecturers...admittedly it is pretty easy to get a good score...but it is not always the case...especially when your senior had done spectacularly well in their exams and you are doing the same module after them....you may be in a big trouble....

i guess it is always the case for chinese to score high in quantitative modules as long as you really put effort in, right?

some of my friends did have got offers from Cambridge and LSE and stuff...it is not difficult to get offers if you are expecting some kind of 1st or good 2.1....but how you can finally achieve what they ask for is real tough...to get a 1st in manchester is not as easy as it seems...there is still a lot of work to do...and every year only handful of students can finally get a 1st...so i dunno...since i havent been studying in some other uni...i cant really comment on how tough or how easy it is...but one basic simple rule always applies...in order to score high, you always have to put more effort than those for a pass...
