大家好，我是 ESSEC MBA in International Luxury Brand Management 2010-2011 的在校生。之前在CD 上得到不少帮助，所以希望这个帖子也能帮到一些学友。对这个项目有兴趣的同学可以留下问题，我会尽量回答。
另外, Denis Morisset教授（Executive Director of the program）会出席今年11月在上海的 Luxury Summit, 并会在北京和上海举办 Information Sessions。如果有今年或明年初要申请这个项目的同学，并想参加11月的 information sessions, 请留下你们的姓名，性别，年龄，工作简历（工作年限，部门，行业等）简要信息 (可以站内短消息)，我会整理后交给Morisset教授，之后会给你们发Invitations.

YeX, my GMAT score wasn't that high, didn't pass 700, only prepared for 3 weeks. I didn't need to take 雅思, I did my undergrad in the States. You need min. 3 years work experience to apply for the program.

I got your msg, will help you sign up.

lease look for my email from essec with more info. about the session.

If you have 3 years work experience before joining the program, it should be OK. You can double check with Prof. Morisset when you meet him in the session. Marketing experience is not a must. We're from a very diverse background. We've got lawyers and accountants in the program : )

As for my background, It's a bit complicated ;) I have 6 years' experience in sales, marketing, purchasing, international trade, and I'm also a designer (Art was my major for my bachelor's degree).

For all the application requirements, please refer to the following link on our program's website:

You need min. 3 years' work experience to apply. If you have internship experience, or you work for your family business while you're at school, your experience can be considered as well. But if it's only your parents who work for the business and you don't, it won't count.

ESSEC is one of the top 3 business schools in France. As for its ranking in Europe, I don't know either, but it doesn't matter to me, because the MBA in International Luxury Brand Management program is the No.1 in the world.
So I think it really depends on where you want to have your career in the future. If you want to come to France, ESSEC is a great choice, 'cus it's very well known here.
Different program has its own application requirements. You should consult the program's website. ESSEC does have an advance master program in HR. For more information, you can refer to the following link (choose Management des Resources Humaines):

我问了别人不是说不要工作经验吗？~~而且那人还说GMAT过了700，就有很大希望。。雅思不知道要多少，在很多网上看的是6.5.。我GMAT一战分太低了，二战的话申请就要推第二轮了。。囧~~

Please note that min. 3 years' work experience is absolutely needed. No exception. Internship experience can be considered.
GMAT is not the only criteria for application. As I mentioned before, my GMAT wasn't high at all, didn't pass 700.

It's possible that the program is taught in French.

Technically it's better to have 3 years' work experience before you apply, our average work experience is 7 years. But if you have a very good profile, I think it would be OK if you have 3 years by the time you start the program.
Most of us are not from the luxury industry. That's why the program is a very important stepping stone for us to enter the field. The luxury industry is a very closed world, but the program provides us access to this world.

According to the admission criteria, a university degree of at least a Bachelor’s or a Master’s level is needed. Exceptionally candidates who do not have a University degree but have a relevant working experience at a senior level could be considered.
Are you in Beijing or Shanghai? If so, I suggest you go to the info. session, and check with Prof. Morisset. If you can't go, you can send me your CV, and I can verify with Prof. Morisset for you.

Tips: - Dress code is professional. No jeans, no sneakers please. Dress the same when you go to a formal business meeting.

I am also very interested in the Luxury brand management area. I have worked at a big four accounting firm for a little bit over 3 years in HK, "killed" G&T already, got 770 and 118 respectively.
I noticed from your website that the program only recruites 40-45 people a year, that's a very small number, I wonder if someone like me with only 3 yrs of working experience not even in the industry will be at disadvantage?
Also, can you share more on the post mba career situation for Chinese students? Do they normally go back to China? Is it possible to work in Europe (France, London ect) or even the States?

只有三个企业奖学金，好象挺难申请的，
剩下ESSEC自己设立的奖学金，是不是也很难申请到呢，

It's not that difficult. For the company scholarships, all recipients are Chinese for our class, hehe. For the ESSEC scholarships, the Excellence scholarship may be challenging, it's 20,000 euro, so a lot of people will apply. But you will still have opportunities to get it. And for the social scholarship, it depends on your financial needs. As long as you can prove that you need the money, you will get it.

We have a few accountants in our class. So it's not a disadvantage. You'll actually be very popular in our accounting classes : ) Your G&T scores are incredible!
For career situation, it really depends on yourself, especially your language ability. If you want to work in France, you have to speak fluent French, have to! It's possible to work in London and the states. One of our field trips is to HK or NY. half of the class go to HK, and the other half go to NY. If you really want to work in the states, you can apply for the NY group. But keep in mind that if you don't have a work permit in UK or the US, it's very difficult to get one, which will prevent you from working there.
Also, the future of the luxury industry is in China, so there're more opportunities in China.
I really wanted to stay in France at the beginning. Now I'm gradually changing my mind for a few reasons. My classmate from HK feels the same. We'll see.

For the company scholarships, you apply with your MBA application. For detail procedures, please refer to our website. For the ESSEC scholarship, you apply after you get admitted and arrive at ESSEC.

As long as you meet the min. requirement for the score, it should be OK. But the program is in English. All the classes are taught in English, all your projects and presentations are done in English. You need to speak fluent English and write well in English in order to be able to do all the work. Besides, your admission interview will be in English.

I remember there're 10 essay questions. I'm not sure if they change the questions every year. In order to see these questions, you need to click Apply Online, and register, and then you can see all the forms and questions you need to do for your application.

For jobs after graduation, it depends on your previous experience and your competence. You could start as an assistant store manager, or a project manager, marketing, brand, strategic manager, etc.

It really depends. If you want to work in France, you need to speak French, especially for those brands that everybody wants to work for. it seems that China has a lot of job opportunities for luxury brands.
Your position and salary also depends on your competence and your experience. It also depends on the brand. For example, if you want to work for LV, do not expect much.

楼主你好，我也想申请奢侈品管理这个专业，但是我在网上查到的关于这个专业就业的信息都只是说就业前景很好啊什么的，并没有具体的方向什么的，让我心里也很没有底。。。所以想请教一下楼主关于这个专业的就业方面的问题，一般毕业以后都会到什么公司从事什么样的职位呢？我在想是不是都要去专卖店里面做导购什么的啊？提升空间怎么样呢？最高能做到什么职位？需要多长时间才能做到这样的职位？

楼主是这样的，我是一名在澳洲的留学生，今年6月份本科毕业，我看了下您之前给别人的答疑，说是非跟本专业相关的工作经验也可算工作经验拿来申请奢侈品管理的mba，那么如果我的工作经验都是part time，也ok吗？

然后因为我最近才决定去法国读master，好像现在已经错过了九月份的入学申请，我想请问一下如果我想申请essec下一学期的入学，不知道是什么时间开学呢？

楼主还有就是我想请问一下您是在essec读的master然后继续深造读mba吗？还是走得其他的途径？

如果我想读essec的奢侈品管理专业， essec也有相应的master课程吗？如果有的话，不知道楼主可否详细解释一下master课程和mba课程的区别以及各自的利弊呢？

楼主你好，我也是想申请ESSEC的LUXURY MANAGEMENT
首先，关于三年工作经验，我在大二2010年的时候在市团委一个杂志机构当编辑到现在应该差不多三年了，其次大三暑假开始2011年开始当时尚街拍摄影师，我想请问这些算满足三年工作经验这个需求吗？
其二，我选择的是英文授课，本科专业是英语，二外是法语，转专业过去会不会要求高一点？我的GMAT还没考，雅思7.0，GPA较低3.1 我想问这个达到最低要求吗？11月打算一战GMAT，请问大概要多少分才有机会呢？
