如果把that 代进去则变成personal spending in the July-September quarter would more than double(personal spending of )the 1.4 percent growth rate in personal spending for the previous quarter. 很累赘。

但是OG上对D答案的解释是

并且对所有选项的分析中都没有提到that的指代问题，请问这个地方的that是否是个冗余成分，无指代，若有指代，指代何物呢~？

对啊~~~正如小妞所说的那样

More than在这里为副词，修饰double

假如把more than除去，结构很明显就是说personal spending double the growth rate

这应该也说不通吧~~~
