我不是NN，如果是我的话，我应该会选separates吧。
saparate的主词在我看来是 neatical entity
所以separates

鄙人觉得是separated.

delineate C as sth(entity)..... 后面就是对entity的修饰了。

用过去分词修饰entity是被分离的什么什么。

这样应该说得过去吧。。。
