Hello there—this is a GREAT question, and one that should be asked more often! The answer is that a long-term goal and career vision are actually quite similar. But the long-term goal will describe WHAT you want to do, whereas a vision would describe WHY you want to do it. Here is an example:
Long-Term Goal: I want to build apartments for poor people in India
Career Vision: I want to help poor people in India be able to live comfortably, and change the face of development in urban areas.
See the difference? Career vision is more global, and refers to your logic and passion. Long term goals are more focused on what you actually want to DO. Hope this helps!
