ABCD都有错。答案是E。 但是E的句子主语就the discovery 谓语has nearly doubled the number

lz， 这道题的谓语是has doubled, 要用单数，就只能选a,d之一啦，a是不对的

逻辑没有错。并不是楼主所说的只有数字才能double数字 请看webster‘s对double的解释1 a [+ obj] : to cause (something) to become two times as great or as many ?
