Hey there! I would be happy to offer up some guidance. First of all, congratulations on a great profile! You have a great GMAT score and fabulous work experience. Well done! Given your scores, you have a chance to be accepted at ANY school in the US, including HBS and Stanford. And I should know, I graduated from HBS! MIT will be a great program for you, but yes--because it is so focused on engineering (as is Haas) that might be a bit more challenging for you. I would consider Harvard, Kellogg, and Booth for sure. Those will be easier for you to get into.
You will also have a great shot at landing a scholarship at Ross or Tuck--we work with many Chinese people each year that have received such scholarships. I would NOT advise you though to apply to your best schools in Round 2--that doesnt make any sense. Your chances will actually be a bit better in Round 1 than in Round 2. So we suggest that you apply to some more difficult schools, AND some easier schools in Round 1. Mix it up that way, so that you benefit from the fact that Round 1 acceptances are easier.
I hope this help--let us know what more we can do!

Thanks for your evaluation!
Wow. It is beyond my expectation. I thought it would be difficult for me to get into HBS and MIT. So I almost quit. So according to your suggestion, I really should give it a try?

Hey there. Absolutely, you should give it a try! J Nobody has great chances at these schools—but with your scores you DO have a shot. We worked with a Chinese client last year with a 750 on her GMAT and she got into Wharton (with our help of course). It will help that your GMAT is so high, and that you are a woman. You have a chance, so absolutely you should give it a shot. If you were a man from China with a 700 on the GMAT, for example, our advice would be very different.
I hope this helps—good luck!

Well, does it mean the difference between male and female candidate from China is that big? The male candidates are in a weak position already before they even read the applications?
And does GMAT really matter that much?
As I am a man from China with GMAT700, so what your adivce will be?
Thanks for your evaluation!

-- by 会员 ningchunlong (2010/9/28 0:54:40)

american and international

外企其实也是啊,white men, white women, asian men, asian women,一般高层都这么划分的
