Hey there—it would be my pleasure to answer each of your questions individually! 1. In the US we use a 4.0-based system. And a 3.16 is just fine—not ideal, but schools in the US and Europe wont be too focused on this number—so long as you are at 3.0 or better, they will look instead to your GMAT. 2. This is just fine! Yes, your better grades in the masters program WILL make up for your lower grades. Nice job! 3. This will help indeed—international certifications of this sort demonstrate both intellectual capacity, and an international mindset. 4. Very cool stuff—I like it very much. Here you have the best of both worlds—the big name of a huge firm, PLUS the benefits of entrepreneurship. 5. This will be your biggest challenge by far. For Chinese applicants, to reach a top ten business school, the GMAT score will need to be just a bit higher. For a top 10-20 program, you will be well in the range. But top ten will be a stretch, with a 720. Id shoot for top twenty. 6. You will need two recommenders at least—and if they aren’t that strong, it is okay. Just use someone who has supervised you directly if you can.
I would suggest top 20 schools—but top 10 will be a stretch. Good luck!
