B. minority graduates are nearly four times more likely than other graduates who plan on practicing
C. minority graduates are nearly four times as likely as other graduates to plan on practicing
D. it is nearly four times more likely that minority graduates rather than other graduates will plan to practice
E. it is nearly four times as likely for minority graduates than other graduates to plan to practice

IMHO: A里面那个are不必要，因为本身就是两个学生团体之间的比较，比较中不存在第三个名词。 如果加are的话是要强调other graduates和minority graduates在比较，但这里没这样的需求，所以加了等于白加，还wordy了

同意A中的are多余。 A are nearly four times more likely than are B in blah blah... 很明显是主语A在和B比，比较的是in blah blah（做某事，在某方面）的likely。 不会是A in blah blah 的likely与B比较。 所以are省略也不会引起歧义，则简洁为上，去掉are。作者: onlyloss 时间: 2010-8-8 16:43

句意来.根据一个关于毕业生的调查....DE几乎四倍....绕了一圈没有 ABC直接说学生怎么着好，D E 直接排 ABC看 AB比发现A有are B没有用are 发现A的are 用的不好，A的意思是少数民族学生是有四倍可能比其他学生是，这个是，到底要干嘛？ B少数民族学生是四倍有可能比其他学生（who....一个从句把关键意思隐埋了） C少数民族学生是四倍有可能比其它学生来计划在一个...领域工作。 读完句意就明白为什么C好了
