1，应该可以。2，maotian加了逗号，你再看看，没逗号，然后有逗号。不过我不知道这个加逗号的用法。

我觉得，这里的however是用作连词，这样用才与主句“it is difficult to find broad support for a movement toward a minimal state.”不矛盾。

here however is a conj, thus it can introduce a clause.

看起来句式很舒服.maotian" however much s+v+o这种句型，much 是修饰v。(这是题中的用法）所以，much形容的是agree的程度"

it is right. Here much is a adv, modify the verb "agree"
