选A可以理解没有什么问题，这道题的主干还是第一句话Scientists have recently discovered what could be the largest and oldest living organism on Earth，后面所有的包括一个定语从句，两个分词结构都是用来修饰fungus的，所以只能是修饰的动词表达方式，如果用extends就有了独立的主谓宾结构了，在语法上说不通。 困惑的是OG对于A的解释，明显的是依据主动、被动的关系来确定用extending和spawned的，但是OG却从时态上来解释，这是怎么回事呢？作者: myungryong 时间: 2010-7-9 10:05

我是这么想的：spawned和extending确实分别有被动/主动之分，但同时ed和ing结构也有“已完成”和“正在进行”的时态上的含义，其实不矛盾吧，而且还有那个10000years ago，OG那么解释还是挺有道理的~~作者: mabelren 时间: 2010-9-4 21:56
