it is none that is more.. wordy；also，in this context，it must refers to sth，（unlike the phase such as “it is clear that..”） OG解释是it必须要有指代，是不是就是说，这个句式不是强调句
那么OG12-3 it was not until almost 1900 that scholars and critics seriously began studying 这是个什么？是强调句吗？

那么这句话it is that去掉以后也是合理的啊 none is more... 那不就是说明他是强调句了吗？我觉得这个结构就是强调句啊 wordy我能理解，可是为什么OG说it必须要有指代呢？ 既然是强调句就不用要求it有指代了啊作者: shalinzz 时间: 2010-5-26 21:37
我个人认为就是这样，满足去掉后仍成立的就是强调句（高中老师反复强调的） og解释没细看，但通常这个不会成为你做题的障碍，因为强调句肯定不怎么简洁，在有其他优先的选择下当然不选它 至于it was not until almost 1900 that scholars and critics seriously began studying这道题，我认为就是强调句，但因其他各项均有错，这个相比较最好 gmat中貌似没有强调句的考点 一家之言，等待nn进一步解释作者: AmyGMAT 时间: 2010-5-26 21:44

OG12-4中 it is none that is moreconcentrated than 不仅可以理解为强调，如LZ所述 语法上亦可以如下理解： 【it】（is）[none]<that is more concentrated than> 【】主语 （）谓语 []宾语 <>限定性定语从句修饰none
如此断句后原句为简单句，主谓宾+从句的形式，此时主语it则必须要有指代对象
同理 it was not until almost 1900 that scholars and critics seriously began studying， 无论如何断句，that都无法做从句，只能与前it was……that搭配为标准强调句样式，便不会产生歧义作者: AmyGMAT 时间: 2010-5-29 19:38

B. it may be that none is more concertrated as B的错误有"more..as.."，有"it may be that none is" too wordy
但因为该题OG强调主句的2个比较句应为相同的过去式语态，因此B是不是还有一个"none is"的错误？应该改为"none was"？ OG没有指出这个错误。我不知道这里的none is究竟是对还是错作者: LEDGIRL 时间: 2010-6-25 07:09
