think otherwise 有另外的想法 be quite otherwise engaged 完全忙别的事 He is noisy, but otherwise a nice boy. 他爱吵闹, 但在其他方面却是个好孩子。 He reminded me of what I should otherwise have forgotten. 他提醒了我, 要不然我就会把这件事给忘了。 上面的都是副词,具体意思可以看到的
还有做连词的状况 比如 you'd better go now, otherwise you'll miss the train

谢谢楼上,上述词典也查过，但无法将其义代入句子，who would not otherwise have attended the booth. 因为otherwise做副词是 《其他的》 的意思并隐含转折，句中那样用有点双重否定的味道。没有otherwise就非常简单。
