Q29: PP60.
First discovered more than 30 years ago, Lina's sunbird, a four-and-a-half-inch animal found in the Philippines and that resembles a hummingbird, has shimmering metallic colors on its head; a brilliant orange patch, bordered with red tufts, in the center of its breast; and a red eye.

答案是C。很明显，found是 Lina's sunbird的后置定语，resembling是伴随状态。我想问的是，A为什么不可以？不可以把that当做 Lina's sunbird的限制性定语吗？

我觉得C应该是现在分词和过去分词的平行共同修饰 animal 但A的found（过去分词）和that resembles（定语从句）无法形成平行结构所以是错的 A 应该改成 that is found in the Philippines and that resembles

可是如果是表示过去，后面的has shimmering metallic colors on its head为什么谓语可以用has呢？我觉得resemble和has应该都是属于描述特征，resemble是不是用一般现在时会更好呢?

另外，如果句子中有and，如果逻辑主语一致，是不是and前后修饰主语的分词的形态应该一致？

Lina's sunbird是主语has是谓语 a four-and-a-half-inch animal 是Lina's sunbird的同位语 found in the Philippines and resembling只是用分词的平行来修饰 a four-and-a-half-inch animal
a four-and-a-half-inch animal found in the Philippines and resembling a hummingbird 相当于是插入语和主句的时态无关

弱弱得问下，resembling作伴随，前边不应该加“，”吗？doing作伴随有没有什么限制？呵呵，谢谢啦。

还是没明白，选项A里面， found in the Philippines and that resembles ，为什么分词引导的found in..和定语从句 that resembles 不能平行，而一定要found 和 resembling 平行呢？

把A选项里面那个and去掉行不行啊？

现在分词和过去分词是可以平行的
但是这一题里面考得是that的平行，后面是that从句，前面也一定要是

Mahanttan SC Page 216, 有提到平行关系：形容词，过去分词和现在分词可以视为平行，只要修饰的是同一种东西。举例：Only a few feed WIDE but SPINNING a continent, the railroad changed the history. Wide and SPINNING. 同样的道理：Found 和Resembling 同时修饰4+1/2 Inch Animal.
