答案是D,我选的是B。问一下为什么这里要补出were啊。

什么时候补出助动词，什么时候省略呢？我都被整晕了

主要前面有Europeans，省了were就会产生歧义：than后的Aleuts or Inuits 跟前面Inuits和Europeans哪个比。

than后面的应该是和前面的Inuits比。

OG的解释：In A and C, in isolation from contact is wordy and unidiomatic.

我想，were in isolation from和were isolated from是一样的意思，相比来说，后者更简洁。
