Long long age,"For doing" was awkward when compared with "to do" in suggesting a purpose and can be killed at once as "to do" appears at the same time.But it is not the case now.I have met a lot of Qs to which "for" is the right key meanwhile "to do "exists.It even seems that GMAC has take advantage of such use as a trap.Do not use rule of this kind to eliminate choices.They are both right.Find much "bigger" mistakes "for eliminating".作者: 木木OOO宝宝 时间: 2010-4-25 22:46

Sure you will. If my memory doesn't go wrong,it is prep that contains such problems. I strongly recommend prep as a sharp material since not only such "for" Qs but many others that seemed to break the "law" we make exsist.As the GMAC gets more and more cute,the most safy and efficient way is not to gauge it in old mode of elimination as we did,but to fully understand the meaning of sentences. 和楼主有一样的困惑呢 但是之前有去iask看 有的上面说for是不能表目的的 for doing只能用来表功能性质 结构等，。。。。。做了好几道gmat题for doing都是不对 但是没太注意过是否未划线部分中有这样的结构 我一会再去看看og
