52。The two oil companies agreed to merge their refining and marketing operations in the Midwest and the West，forming a new company for controllingnearly fifteen percent of the nation's gasoline sale.

(A) forming a new company for controlling

(B) forming a new company that would control

(C) which would form a new company that controlled

(D) which formed a new company for controlling

(E) which formed a new company that would control

在GMAT里面不允许用for doing表目的？为什么B比A好？形式上看不是A更简洁么 = =
求指教。多谢。

这里是表结果而不是目的吧，从逻辑上来看。所以我觉得即使A选项改成 forming a new company to control也还是B选项好些。
