I have to say that I know very little about film industry in France. HEC is the top school in France. All I can say is that you have better chance to develop in France with such a diplome.

My general impression: unlike US movies, french movies have more local tastes. You will learn to appreciate them more only if you have lived in France. Of course there are a lot of moives here targeting at international audience, still, you can sense the difference when you arrive and watch more movies here. Well, just my personal opinion and I have almost no clue about it at all.
