some other one 也不对，one ...another，固定结构
A do sth,like B 与 A do sth as B do 都是对的，但是要看句子意思，比较的是句子还是名词

B。like接名词（动名词），无可厚非
C。from one to others，不合适，前为单数，后为复数
D。like接句子不合适

个人感觉这里
move mysteriously from one necklace to some other one就是具体描述jump这个动作再补出个do有点多余。

其实可以写为： genes，like pearls moving mysteriously from one necklace to another，can “jump”，只是因为like pearls moving mysteriously from one necklace to another太长，所以放在后面了

我个人认为是可以的，但是句子意思和上面的稍微有点不一样了。这里强调的是两物之间的比较；而B选项是强调一物类似另一物。

AS 和 like 是唯一的不同，表示比较可以用like 也可以用as，用like要求其后的名词要和所在句主语有可比性，用as要求加不完整句。助动词习惯性补出。
一般来说在句尾应该用as，但是此处pearls moving mysteriously from one necklace to another明显是一个名词不是一个句子，所以只能用like
(E)选项强调的重心不对，as do pearls that move mysteriously from one necklace to some other one
pearls that... 其实that后的内容只是修饰pearls的，显得跟我们想要打的比方无关；
相比B选项来说，pearls moving...后的内容就意在强调和我们打的比方的对比。
