答案是E。我选的C。请NN帮我解析一下E选项，为什么as many as后省略了什么请帮我补全~~谢谢O(∩_∩)O~

这里的equal不能指数量相等。而是说他们2个的性质相同 A equal to B就是说 A 和B一样
这题应该是说前面那个eight million这个数量和后面的enrollment的数量相同。他们2个是不同性质的
所以应该用as many as。。
as后面省略的是people吧、、

唔。不是。
字典里说equal :the same in size,quantity,value,
前面的主语是8million people 和后面的人是不可能equal的
如果前面是Number 后面可以用equal
多体会下。我是这样理解的。呵呵。。

弱问一下，为什么E这里可以省略people呢，
什么情况下可以省略呢？

论坛里面都没有说清楚为什么可以省略people啊，有说主语相同省略，前面那个句子的主语明明不是people麽，请教NN啊~~
