ROTMAN给我的印象挺怪的，星期五电话通知，跟着EMAIL，然后让下周一答复并DEPOSIT，寄过来的OFFER竟然还要自己去邮局取。

今年加拿大的商学院招生不足，所以，大家都不需要着急，OFFER会有的

如果要比较这个数据，那还得加上招生规模，Rotman 537，Smeal 187，毕业人数前者差不多是后者的3倍，因此绝对数多不代表就业就好。

差距在此:

5个投行(CIBC 13, RBC Financial Group 9 , TD Financial Group 9, BMO 9 , ScotiaBank 7 ), 3个咨询Deloitte 9, Bain 3，Monitor 2)到Rotman招人, 包括最top的Bain和Monitor.
1个投行(JPMorgan Chase 1), 1个咨询(Deloitte Consulting LLP 1) 到Penn State招人, 剩下全部是industry.

这差距够大吧

加拿大学校不值得上，而且比美国的名校更难毕业，毕业了也不太受重视. 我在一个很大的加拿大企业，1万多员工，Manager, Director, VP, CEO, 根本找不出一个读过MBA的。我找Manager写推荐信，他很不理解为什么我要放弃工作去念MBA。这边的老板更喜欢岁数大有经验的，更喜欢那些有加拿大Accounting的认证去做finance。

我赞成qiaoling的观点，ROTMAN是好学校，如果打算去加拿大工作肯定是去他家。
单单看美国的就业市场就大过加拿大，这个也是为什么很多人去美国读TOP30甚至TOP50，而放弃在其他国家排名TOP10甚至TOP5的program。

"more job opportunities" must be analyzed with ratios. The US economy is about 10 times the Canadian's and the US population is about 10 times the Canadian's too. The sector concentrations are also very similar. Simply "more job opportunities" in absolute amount doesn't mean more opportunities are open to you.

As far as I know, the industry system in US and Canada are quite similar. Every year, lots Canadians left their jobs in Toronto and head to NYC or Boston, or vice versa. Canadians have a great advantage over other foreign nationals when looking for jobs in US: they don't need H1B in general.

As a Chinese Canadian, I wouldn't attend UToronto's MBA if I get in any top 10~15 US MBA plus if I don't need to stay in Toronto with my wife and kidds.
