答案是D，我选了E。D和E都没有语法错误，我是不是理解错了，后面that引导的定语从句应该修饰的是vitamin C而不是antioxidants?

that引导的定从修饰的是compounds吧，两个"that"是前后对称关系，修饰的东西也是一致的。E中的"they"有指代不清的嫌疑。

破折号后面相当于解释，在语法里可以抹掉，--compounds also found in beta carotene, vitamin E, and vitamin C。
剩下come from antioxidants, and they，they指代benefits么？肯定不对的，从后面的意思看，是compounds inhibit……

that可以指代复数么？复数不是应该是those么？

困惑！！！that引导的从句，先行词可以是复数么？
