排除法选了D，不过还是不大明白后半句是个什么用法，请高手解释一下吧

后半句是独立主格的一种用法（Nominative Absolute Construction)
即 ‘名词+介词短语’做独立主格
但由于名词部分过长，因而独立主格结构中又使用了倒装，把among them提到了前面，them指代numerous challenges.

D答案还原后 sales of the company’s powerful microprocessor chip，不是犯了of + 所有格的大忌了吗？白勇和PREP语法笔记都提到这种形式是错误的

如果是sales of the company’s ，说公司的销售，那就错了
但这里是sales of the company’s powerful microprocessor chip，说的是公司的chip的销售，对的

还有一点疑问。。。这里的them会不会指代不清？前面还有一个investors。。。。还有B里面的which可以跳跃修饰challenges吗？

如果是sales of the company’s ，说公司的销售，那就错了
但这里是sales of the company’s powerful microprocessor chip，说的是公司的chip的销售，对的

of + 所有格不是错误的，是双重所有格。双重所有格和单独的所有格的意思不同。
a friend of my father 我爸爸的朋友
a friend of my father's 我爸爸的朋友中的一个
薄冰语法中一个很好的例子，可以说明这两种用法的不同：
-Who said so?
-A friend of your father's.
-If he said such things, he is not a friend of my father.

但确实，在GMAT考试中，我们怎么区分是用哪个呢？
