题目如下：
Some species of Arctic birds are threatened by recent sharp increases in the population of snow geese, which breed in the Arctic and are displacing birds of less vigorous species. Although snow geese are a popular quarry for hunters in the southern regions where they winter, the hunting season ends if and when hunting has reduced the population by five percent, according to official estimates. Clearly, dropping this restriction would allow the other species to recover.
Which of the following, if true, most seriously undermines the argument?
A. Hunting limits for snow geese were imposed many years ago in response to a sharp decline in the population of snow geese.
B. It has been many years since the restriction led to the hunting season for snow geese being closed earlier than the scheduled date.

highlight部分暗含的一个推理是：restriction---->more SG---->threaten other species ,只有B选项指出不是限令导致了雪鹅数量的增长，所以weaken.
Which of the following, if true, most seriously undermines the argument?
A.Hunting limits for snow geese were imposed many years ago in response to a sharp decline in the population of snow geese.
B.It has been many years since the restriction led to the hunting season for snow geese being closed earlier than the scheduled date.
自限令使对雪鹅的扑杀提前结束已经很多年了，但雪鹅数量是最近才又一个急剧增长，并对其他鸟类造成威胁，说明并不是限令造成了雪鹅数量的增长，因此取消限令也不会造成其他鸟类物种数量的回升。
这里最关键的是看清题目里的recent sharp increases 和选项里的it had been many years ,时间概念上的转换，需要仔细的阅读题目。
自限令使对雪鹅的扑杀提前结束已经很多年了，但雪鹅数量是最近才又一个急剧增长，并对其他鸟类造成威胁，说明并不是限令造成了雪鹅数量的增长，因此取消限令也不会造成其他鸟类物种数量的回升。

其实这道题的结论是把正常推理得到的结论绕了一下，所以很容易让人转不过来，而且关键信息放到里结论那么远的地方，很容易忽略！

雪鹅数量增加，北极鸟受到威胁。
应该大力捕杀雪鹅来挽救北极鸟。
但是现在的限令说，如果捕杀的雪鹅数量占到了总雪鹅的5％，必须停止捕杀。
所以结论的建议是把限令提高一点，来捕杀更多雪鹅，挽救北极鸟。
减弱的是B
限令提高是个好主意，但是如果最近几年，人们连5％的限令都没有用完，提高限令又有什么作用呢（i.e.减少更多的雪鹅）

D说当snowgeese的数量增加了，他们就会recolonized,这样就不会对Arctic birds有威胁了，所以说放宽限令是没必要的
削弱了结论不是？？

A：限令好多年就有了，但是并没有说明，取消它会对geese的数量到底有什么影响。
B的意思是说:
即使有限令（到了5%就停止捕猎geese），但事实上还没捕杀到5%的时候hunting season就结束了，而且好多年了都是这样。
意思也就是人们没兴趣了，你有没有限令，我就只打猎这么多。你限打10个，我就打2个，你限打100个，我也只打2个，你不限，我还是只打2个。
所以取消限令对geese的数量没有影响。所以weaken。

recolonized有可能发生在威胁Arctic birds，displacing birds of less vigorous species之后，所以这个选项有不确定性，GMAT的要求是必要性，所以这个选项不对。

Hunting limits for snow geese were imposed many years ago是不错，但后面的 in response to a sharp decline in the population of snow geese说明禁令导致了鹅的大量下降，是支持而不是削弱。

关键是B是啥意思。B 说 It has been many years since the restriction led to the hunting season for snow geese being closed earlier than the scheduled date. 一般都以为是说多年来，狩猎季节都是提前结束。其实B 不是这样说。B 说的是狩猎季节提前结束已经是很多年以前的事。那就是说，现在在南方，并没有很多人去狩猎雪鸭，每年5%的捕猎量都用不完，取消禁令不会使捕获雪鸭的数目增多。
这句因为后面分句很长，所以容易引起误会。大家比较下面的句子，就知道应该是什么意思了：
It has been many years since the house was built.
It has been many years since she married.
It has been many years since he obtained his Ph.D.
A：限令好多年就有了，但是并没有说明，取消它会对geese的数量到底有什么影响。
B的意思是说:
即使有限令（到了5%就停止捕猎geese），但事实上还没捕杀到5%的时候hunting season就结束了，而且好多年了都是这样。
意思也就是人们没兴趣了，你有没有限令，我就只打猎这么多。你限打10个，我就打2个，你限打100个，我也只打2个，你不限，我还是只打2个。
所以取消限令对geese的数量没有影响。所以weaken。

B说 打猎雪鹅的数量根本没到5%要提前关的情况
C说 打雪娥的数量每年越多，那不是说如果没有restriction雪鹅可以被更多减少吗?

不知道我是没看懂题还是想的太简单，竟然选对了
白痴思路 题目：weaken，结论：不限制打猎的数量就能使其他物种多起来，题外之意就是能使雪鹅再次减少。
只需要证明限制令不是使雪鹅减少的原因就行。
B 项： It has been many years since the restriction led to the hunting season for snow geese being closed我只看了前句，肤浅的理解为这个限令已经取消了，然后我根据题目，这个地区的雪鹅还在增长“recent sharp increases in the population of snow geese,”所以就知道这限令没用，肯定有其他原因

recolonized有可能发生在威胁Arctic birds，displacing birds of less vigorous species之后

B. It has been many years since the restriction led to the hunting season for snow geese being closed earlier than the scheduled date. 很多年了总是sg导致提前打猎季关闭。说明sg很受狩猎者欢迎，如果drop restriction的话也还是sg先遭殃，并不不能使得other species to recover了，这就削弱了结论。

不明白，B选项的意思不是说提前关闭是restriction “led to”的嘛，那就是说因为5%限额用完了，所以提前关闭不给打了，是供不应求的意思才对。那么，放宽限令的话不就可以多打掉一点，是加强才对吧？？

这个理解是错的。
首先，下面的类比很好，帮我们正确的理解的句子的意思，但是作者忽略了since the restriction这一很重要的信息。
B选项是说 因为政府的限制命令 而导致狩猎季节的提前结束 已经是很多年以前的事情了。
那么根据这句话，我们对现在情况的推测只能是：现在的狩猎季节不会因为政府的限制命令而提前结束。
回到原文提供的信息：狩猎季节在什么时候结束？在SG的数量下降5%的时候结束。（ps.如果按照jolin的理解，是 挑战 前提的而这在gmat中是不容许发生的。）
也就是说现在的情况是：整个打猎季节hunter都在不停的打猎，但sg的数量还是没有下降到5%。
所以即使政府即使去掉5%的禁令，sg的数量也不会减少，因为hunter的整个狩猎季节都在工作还没哟达到5%，所以去掉不去掉整个禁令或者调为10%什么的都没有影响。
觉得这个题目 太 subtle 了...

答案B。A说的是很多年前捕杀雪雁过多导致政府设了禁令。但它没有说现在的情况如何，所以和原文不相关。B是说以前的指标往往在规定日期内提前用完（火力很猛），但是这样的日子已经过去很多年了，也就是说现在至少是在规定时间内用完，甚至有用不完的可能，也就是说即使放开管制，捕获的数量也不会大很多（火力太弱）。本题的关键在于理解since引导的句子的意思。关于since连接的句子，若用的是瞬时性动词，时间从动作开始的那一刻累积，如果用的是持续性动词，则说明时间从该动作持续的状态结束后开始累积，如：It has been many years since the house was built. 房子在很久以前就完工了（was built是一种状态，所以many years是从房屋完工后计算）。
It has been 3 years since he lived/studied in New York. 他不住在纽约/不在纽约学习已经3年了(study, live为持续性状态，所以于动作结束后计时才开始)
I have made a couple of friends since I moved to New York. 我搬到纽约后交了几个朋友。（瞬时性动词，计时从move一开始同时累积。）
若since后跟的持续性动词用了现在完成时，则两个动作同时发生：Jim has not heard from Jenny since she has lived in London. (自从Jenny搬到伦敦起，Jim就没她的消息。)
B的句子从意思上说，restriction led to hunting season closed earlier是一个持续状态，所以可以理解为这个状态已经结束很多年了。

這邊也沒提出說是指北極鳥，指提出方法是要讓其他物種復育
題幹一開頭也只有說SOME 只有部分
