答案选C.....我选的是A，如果我没有理解错的话，原文的argument 应该是：根据一些数据表明，被判有罪的人去坐牢的数量会增多~
要求削弱这个选项，A 的意思不就是代替坐牢的punishment增多吗，不就削弱了么？。。。
不知道要如何去选。。。。。盼NN~~

Ａ的意思是除了坐监之外，别的ｐｕｎｉｓｈｍｅｎｔ种类还有很多．但是他没有解释为什么过去５年里有这个变化（坐监的人增加）
ｃ解释了因为法律改订，很多服刑的人坐牢的时间更长了（本来应该出狱，但是还是继续坐牢）

恩~原来是这样
但是我觉得A 应该是没有直接削弱吧，我选的时候觉得AC都可以~~~如果A要是直接削弱你觉得应该如何表述比较好呢？

看来看去还是对A很疑惑，既然A的惩罚范围增加了，那么言外之意就是被判罪的人多了，为什么不能解释这个变化呢？求解释！！

代替坐牢的惩罚多了，那么坐牢的人就少了，削弱文章

A选项能得出坐牢的人少了确实削弱了但是削弱的是这个论述的前提不是这个 therefore 的推理过程。有点答非所问的意思~

文章的推理是监狱的人数都在增长.,是因为嫌犯被判决坐牢的比率增加

A选项能得出坐牢的人少了确实削弱了但是削弱的是这个论述的前提不是这个 therefore 的推理过程。有点答非所问的意思~

看看这句话，它的意思就是判刑的比例没有变，而且the number of criminal cases brought to trial也没有变，所以只有C最符合，而A 恰恰说反了
