我选B,认为a gain 充当energy的同位语.看了其他的帖子说B用了被动不如主动好,但我还是不明白D中,gained是充当什么?

cars’, 无生命的东东用所有格，不妥。

energy is not a gain.

energy is gained as .....

再问一下：(D) potential energy of the cars, gained as a chain drive lifts them 中 ,后面是不是应该是which is gained? 这里which is 为什么可以省略呢?

过去分词短语作修饰语。查一下语法书吧。过去分词的章节都会介绍这种用法的。
