E选项，不能认为是as disturbing in his own times as (they are)compelling for ours.如果不考虑完成时的这个错误，这个句子能不能认为是主语相同，所以第二as后面就省略了相同的主语谓语？
正确答案是B~

谓语动词不一样的话是不能省略的吧 they were （his time） they are （our time）

好像以前看到过这样的解释可是找不到了不确定 NN补充~~

BY上面有这样两句话
1.比较从句的谓语和主语与主句从句的谓语和相同的，可以全部舍去，常常保留作状语的介词短语或状语从句
2.比较从句与主句的时态不一致，即两比较对象的动作相同，但是其发出的时间却不一致，或同一事物相同动作发生的时间不同，than和as从句中不出的助动词的时态由时间状语和句子意思决定。
I eat more food than he did last year
The economy of F is more diversified than it was ten years ago.

所以原题中时态不一样应该是要补出来的
