1 By merging its two publishing divisions, the company will increase their share of the country’s $21 billion book market from 6 percent to 10 percent, a market ranging from obscure textbooks to mass-market paperbacks.
A. their share of the country’s $21 billion book market from 6 percent to 10 percent, a market ranging
B. from 6 percent to 10 percent its share of the $21 billion book market in the country, which ranges
C. to 10 percent from 6 percent in their share of the $21 billion book market in the country, a market ranging
D. in its share, from 6 percent to 10 percent, of the $21 billion book market in the country, which ranges
E. to 10 percent from 6 percent its share of the country’s $21 billion book market, which ranges
GWD1-Q7:
A recent review of pay scales indicates that CEO’s now earn an average of 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers, compared to a ratio of 42 times in 1980.
A. that CEO’s now earn an average of 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers, compared to a ratio of 42 times
B. that, on average, CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, a ratio that compares to 42 times
C. that, on average, CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, as compared to 42 times their pay, the ratio
D. CEO’s who now earn on average 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers, as compared to 42 times their pay, the ratio
E. CEO’s now earning an average of 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, compared to the ratio of 42 times
GWD1-Q29:
Faulty voting equipment, confusing ballots, voter error, and problems at polling places have been cited by a new study of the 2000 United States presidential election, which estimated that they did not count 4 million to 6 million of the 100 million votes cast.
A. Faulty voting equipment, confusing ballots, voter error, and problems at polling places have been cited by a new study of the 2000 United States
B. Citing faulty voting equipment, confusing ballots, voter error, and problems at polling places, a new study of the 2000 United States
presidential election has estimated that 4 million to 6 million of the 100 million votes cast were not counted.
C. Citing faulty voting equipment, confusing ballots, voter error, and problems at polling places, 4 million to 6 million of the 100 million votes cast were not counted in the 2000 United States presidential election, a new study estimates.
D. A new study has cited faulty voting equipment, confusing ballots, voter error, and problems at polling places in estimating that 4 million to 6 million of the 100 million votes that were cast had not been counted in the 2000 United States
presidential election.
E. A new study of the 2000 United States
presidential election, citing faulty voting equipment, confusing ballots, voter error, and problems at polling places, has estimated 4 million to 6 million votes had not been counted of the 100 million votes cast.
GWD1-Q38:
38 Retail sales rose 8/10 of 1 percent in August, intensifying expectations that personal spending in the July-
September quarter more than doubled that of the 1.4 percent growth rate in personal spending for the previous quarter.
A. that personal spending in the July-September quarter more than doubled that of
B. that personal spending in the July-September quarter would more than double
C. of personal spending in the July-September quarter, that it more than doubled
D. of personal spending in the July-September quarter, more than doubling that of
E. of personal spending in the July-September quarter, that it would more than double that of
或者是DOUBLE THAT OF ?

A of B‘s C its share of the country’s $21 billion book market

宾语从句that不能省略 而且E得比较对象不对等 the pay of blue-collar workers, compared to the ratio 把pay和rate比了。

B:
Which指誰?market or country,因為ranges是單數所以會ambiguity,increase from…to的結構:
比較好
E
To…from的結構怪異,which明確的指market因為前面的country用所有格

The rates of Mideast immigrants' entrepreneurship exceeds those of virtually every other immigrant group in the increasingly diverse United States economy.
而its share of the country’s $21 billion book market,前面的its share是country's ...market的一部分,属正确用法,

B 没有跳去前面,因为 book market in the country 是一个单位。

By merging its two publishing divisions, the company will increase its share of the country’s $21 billion book market from 6 percent to 10 percent , the country’s $21 billion book market (which )ranges from obscure textbooks to mass-market paperbacks.
从ranges from 来看,应该which 指代的是the country's ...book market才对~所以我觉得E比较正确

E. A new study of the 2000 United States
presidential election, citing faulty voting equipment, confusing ballots, voter error, and problems at polling places, has estimated 4 million to 6 million votes had not been counted of the 100 million votes cast.
