答案是C

1、解释上说“D错是因为but does not看上去更像thromboxane的谓语，和is a[bgcolor=#f784fe]并列。”为什么[/bgcolor]?

2、像这种“ , but”的形式一直有个问题——but有没有有限修饰离他近的的原则（比如这里是which is a substance to promote blood clotting）；还是说无优先？

我觉得A,D,E的错误在于那个WHICH，应该就近修饰，放在一个介宾短语后面，是指代那个P还是那个T呢，所以指代不明！而B和C要比较后面的未画线部分。

虽然这个不是我想问的。但是就你说的又产生了一个问题：是说只要是介宾短语就会有修饰不明吗？

是B介C，从句的形式，从句修饰B和C都是这样一个形式

总结了一下,which有以下几种可能的指代：紧跟修饰前面n;跳过介词短语修饰前面的 n;跳过插入语修饰前面的n.而具体指那种则要通过逻辑去判断~

which用法没有错，你看最后那句，也是which修饰production of thromboxane整体，也可以是修饰P，因为production of thromboxane的重点是前面，which就前修饰有个eligible选择，即选择重点词。这是我在Manhattan论坛上听ron讲的。

D错有2点，

1、实用to do来修饰substance是错误的，从意思上看substance后面那部分属于property，因此需要用that从句修饰；

2、which XXXXXXX，but XXXXXXX。but可以是跟which前的句子转折，也可以跟which引导的句子转折，存在歧义，在这种情况下，就需要把which引导的那句子给改动了，像答案C那样用同位语修饰。

我记得OG里有过一道题，Bob and tom，who XXXXXXXX。who是修饰bob还是修饰tom还是both？就出现了分歧，因此需要改变一下，tom，who XXXXX，and tom XXXXXXXX

对于which：我觉得不能看哪个词是重点词。应该看后面的内容想修饰谁。要不肯定都修饰中心词了。而A of B中，which修饰B的情况也屡见不鲜。

对于解释2：像C一样改成同位语也会存在歧义：既可转折同位语从句，也可转折主句。

请解释~
