标题: 一道语法题，不是太明白，请各位赐教，谢谢！
Among the objects found in the excavates temple were small terra-cotta effigies left by supplicants who were either asking the goddess Bona Dea's aid in healing physical and mental ills or thanking her for such help.

这道题的画线部分是正确的，可我却有个地方搞不懂，either asking后面是or thanking 这是没问题的，可aid 后面不是跟 to 吗，有跟 in 的用法吗？我觉得 to heal physical and mental ills or thanking her for such help 更好啊？

2. noun: aid to

aid在所有格后，是名词，to 肯定是介词，heal动词原形，错。一定要看清句子。

谢谢，可两位的解释把我弄糊涂了（本来就糊涂）

，既然所有格后是noun，那么根据LES的说法，后面就应该是aid to 了，晕，请楼上的朋友给个定夺，再次感谢

对不起yoo_hoo，是我把你搞糊涂了。

首先确认tianwan的说法是对的，即aid在这里是名词。我在金山词霸里查了查发现aid作为名词时后面也可以+in，如例句：An English-Chinese Dictionary is an important aid in learning the English.

tianwan的意思是如果这里aid后面+to，这个to是介词，因此后面必须+名词或动名词，所以用to heal（动词原形）就不对了。

而且 I've surfed the Longman web dic.

只查到 aid当名詞     後面     to + Ving
没看到 aid(n.) in ...
有哪位nn可以指出明確的用法和來源妈谢谢
