A certain characteristic in a large population has a distribution that is symmetric about the mean m. If 68 percent of the distribution lies within one standard deviation d of the mean, what percent of the distribution is less than m +
d ?

A. 16%

B. 32%

C. 48%

D. 84%

E. 92%

这个题目是什么意思啊我完全看不明白也不知道应该怎么做答案是D 请大家帮忙解答

人口有这样一个特征，距离平均值M的分布完全对称。
距m一个标准差d的人口，占68%的总人口

可得出处于m-d《x《m+d范围的人口数为68%
则如x>m+d或x<m-d的人口占1-68%=32%，
又因为对称，所以x>m+d的人口占16%，从而x《m+d的人口占1-16%=84%

问题说是68％的人分布在m-d，m+d之间，问小于M+d的占多少？
算法：68%+(1-68%)/2=84%
