(A) whether the evidence warrants censuring him or ousting him

(B) if there is evidence that warrants a censure or an ousting of him

(D) if there is evidence that warrants censuring him or his ousting（A）

(E) if the evidence would warrant that he be censured or that he be ousted

答案是A，问C中，如果ousting him，没有of，是不是也可以选？即whether 和whether or not 是否这里可以通用？谢谢！

在gmat中whether or not 几乎都被视做错，因为or not 被视为多余。

觉得C去掉or not也不好，因为这里用了动名词，G中动词优于动名词。同时，censure有自己的名词形式，用动名词不好。

whether or not有语意重叠的问题，G中仅用一个whether就可以表示是否，选择的概念

whether+句子---引导一般疑问句

意思不一样

“Whether” works fine on its own in most contexts: “I wonder whether I forgot to turn off the stove?” But when you mean “regardless of whether” it has to be followed by “or not” somewhere in the sentence: “We need to leave for the airport in five minutes whether you’ve found your teddy bear or not.”

I searched "warrant that" on Google, there is no such usage when warrant is a verb. but there are tones of "warrant doing", I think the reason is warrant is a vt, not a vi. It needs a either n. or doing to follow.
Still, whether should not be used with or not.
