A. movies—less than those
B. movies—fewer than have been
C. movies, which is less than those
D. movies, a number lower than the people
E. movies, fewer than the ones
为什么选B, 不选A呢？？

可数名词人，用fewer；less用于量，距离，时间等的比较。 而且前面是have been, B中的have been与之对称。 后面的动词就算要省略，也应该省略实义动词kill，保留助动词have才对。 不过这里如果变成fewer than have by bee stings 也够拗口的。。。还是都保留比较通顺。 至于B中为什么可以省略those，因为the man-eater of the movies是同位语可以拿掉不看，前面的people和shark，一个复数一个单数，后面用了have been则明确了是跟复数people比，所以省略掉those也不会歧义。作者: 木木夕云 时间: 2009-12-14 15:39
1. people算是特殊可数名词，而且这里seven people更是复数 2. little 修饰不可数名词，few 修饰可数名词 3. 看到have，应该知道主语是复数
