因果应该是先写因再写果的，

句子的写的先后还有一定的时间逻辑关系，这是我自己的感觉，不是定理

我觉得是E中的they有2个可能的指向:Young female ballet dancers and gymnasts 和eating habits 而D更明晰

注意D以because they开头，实际上这个they才没有前方的指代对象。

从句主语是代词，优先指代主句主语，所以，你所说的两个指向，我觉得勉强成为不选它的理由。

优先使用前面这句吗？

可是eating habits 肯定不能desire to....呀。
