1、白令海峡一直被以为是……，所以用一般时态；

2、而后面的to have entered 是过去完成时的不定式样子；

注意：在GMAT中，尽量保持原句时态，除非有明确的时间状语要求改变时态。在没有明确时间状语时，时态尽量保持将帮助你排除一些干扰选项
