不好意思。。。搞出那么多字符。。。。。 重新回复一下。 首先，根据主谓一致的原则，排除B和D，因为the first trenches是复数。 其次，C中的HAVING BEEN CUT在GMAT考试中不被接受，因为ING分词的完成时态不能充当名词的定语。 A和E中，由于分词作定语比定语从句做定语更加简洁明了，所以排除A，最后选择E
