请问为什么要用work that was rooted,而不用work rooted呢？

不是说要用work that was rooted,而不用work rooted，而是因为其它选项都有错啊
比如有的少谓语

可以用WORK ROOTED啊。两种都可以。只是题上没有WORK ROOTED罢了。

为什么不选E呢？为什么不能用both...and...？

应为both后面的and不平行, rooted both in the stride-piano tradition of Willie Smith and Duke Ellington

可以用WORK ROOTED啊。两种都可以。只是题上没有WORK ROOTED罢了。

E就是这样啊，如果没有both的话，E是否就对了呢？

C错在Grammatical construction，多了who这就是个定语从句，正如OG所说，整个句子缺谓语；而D中produced是作谓语的。
