标题: Chicago Booth Interview (Nov 16) [打印本页] 作者: thecow10000 时间: 2009-11-20 00:47 标题: Chicago Booth Interview (Nov 16) It was a cold Monday morning in Chicago. My interview was in Harper Center (on campus) and was conducted by a 2nd year student. Her background was in consulting and will transform that into marketing. The interview was supposed to last 30 minutes. Mine was about 35-40 minutes long. I think at least 40-50 were interviewed for my day... and 90% of us were males!!!
The standard/expected:
Why now?
Why Chicago?
What unique background/experience would you bring to Chicago?
What's your role in a team?
Tell me about a team project you liked and why?
Career plan? Intended concentrations?
Leadership style?
Your strengths?
The somewhat unexpected:
If you were a CEO of a company, give me 3 reasons why I should work for you?
If money isn't an issue, what would you do with your career?
Who do you admire and why?
Conclusion:
Anything you want to add that I didn't cover?
Questions for me?

Zhupp, godspeed. Smile, be confident, and be yourself. Sign up for the tour, lunch, and a class if you have time. I had a plane to catch so I couldn't do an afternoon class. Lunch is provided. Our tour guide led us to the cafeteria... after buying some nasty pizza I realized that a healthy lunch box was provided.作者: agnesRED 时间: 2009-11-20 23:26

Just finish my on-campus interview half an hour ago. echo with cow, here is my experience.
My interview is short and causal. The question time is only 20 min, and we chatted casually about 10min. not sure if that's good or not~
Questions:
1. walk through your resume
2. short term. long term goal
3. how chicago will help you achieve your goal
4. Most challenging part of your job
5.how your parents influened your goal? unexpected.
6.Tell me about your experience about ###? one experience in my resume!
7.most signaficant achievement at work?
8.question for her? I asked 4-5 questions. about recruiting, professor, why chicago
9. we chatted about the city we both came from (in US), sports we both like in winter. Community service &staff (her background is non-profit), place to walk around ( she recommended a bakery close to harper center), clubs to join in booth.
As cow said, most of the interviewees are guys. Very few women. I am impressed with the whole process, well-organized, people are nice and considerate.
